But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord. Joshua 24:15 (NIV)

Today more than ever it is essential to raise children in a Christ-centered home.  Considering all the dangers, and temptations children face today, a Christ-centered home will help avoid many if not most of these dangers.

Kristen Welch in her book Raising Grateful Kids in an Entitled World phrases it like this, “We have been guilty of fitting Jesus into out lives, instead of fitting our lives into Jesus.” This is a powerful statement.  Let it sink in, I think many of us are guilty of the same thing. Below are some tips and suggestions for you.

Do not stress if you cannot do all five tips at once, just start with what is easiest for your family and build from that one.  But do not stop! You will be surprised how these suggestions will serve you and your children through the years. Above all, know God is with you and He knows your heart.
